Recently named as the 8th wonder of the world because of what the experts termed as “the uniqueness of the area and the preservation it provides to so many species living in harmony.” The annual migration” of millions of hooves and paws from Serengeti to the Mara which takes place between July and September is a spectacular event in the Masai Mara.
Masai Mara covers an area of 1600 square kilometers of green rolling countryside with scattered trees, meandering rivers, boarded by dense tropical riverine forest. The area widens more if group ranches around it are added. It boost of the most densely populated area with wildlife per square kilometer and has over 90 species of mammals and over 450 species of birds and still counting.
“The Mara” as it is popularly known, joins the Serengeti National park in Tanzania and together, forms an ecological system comprising one of the world’s finest wildlife sanctuaries. It is 290Km (approximately 5 hours drive) from Nairobi by road through the beautiful scenery of the Great Rift Valley, down the valley itself with the majestic Mt Longonot (which will be to your left hand side as you go and right as you return) to the town of Narok which is 70km to the World famous Masai mara. 45 – 50 minutes by air from Wilson airport Nairobi is all you need to reach this famous natural wonder of the world.

MARA 2 NIGHTS SAFARIS (Standard Safari) Itinerary
Day 1 –
Leave early in the Morning around 7am for your trip to the Mara via the beautiful rift valley view points. Stop for a short break at Narok then proceed to Mara to arrive at the lodge by lunch time. After lunch go for your afternoon game drive. Be back in time to freshen up, dinner, entertainment and sleep over.
Day 2 –
Depart around 6am for early morning game drive and be back in time for breakfast. After early breakfast and armed with picnic lunch (Optional) go for a full day game drive with our experienced Driver Guide who will be more than glad to answer all your questions about the animals and Mara ecosystem itself. Stop in a safe place for your picnic lunch and thereafter continue with you game drive OR leave at 7am for early morning game drive back at around 8.30 am for breakfast, freshen up then depart at around 10.30 am for game drive back to lodge for lunch thereafter at around 3pm go for another game drive be back at the lodge to freshen up, dinner, entertainment and sleep over.
Day 3 –
Wake up in the morning and after breakfast, start leaving for Nairobi at around 9am with last game drive on the way. Brief stopover at Narok then proceeds to arrive in Nairobi early evening
